Last Wednesday April 17, 2013 marked Team Manila's t-shirt launching designed by none other than Mr. Kiko Escora & Wham Be Nimble & Daily Grind. This day also marked the event of my international best friend's despedida party. The event was organized by Team Manila and the event was in a form of "Alley cat Race" or what we call in Manila "Pusakalye."
The start of the race was held at a bike shop called Tryon in Makati. This shop has been around for more than 30 years and still kicking it! Here are some of the photos before the start of the race.
Too bad there were BGC(Bonifacio Global City) Security that "disturbed" us during the event when we clearly had our permits. Team Manila paid for the venue and the security said that yes we have the venue paid for but not was "exclusive" for our use. What a load of crap I say...but nevertheless, we complied without a few grunts here and there but we couldn't really go against authorities on this one because we were regular visitors of the nearby establishments there.
There were a total of 72 riders who registered and I'm happy to have been the 15th placer and won an event shirt! I would like to congratulate everyone who were there and thank everyone who made this event possible! I would also like to thank all of the sponsors and Built Cycles to have met a new friend and for the stickers! Thanks to WeFXD x Calle for the Spokecards! Team Manila x DG for making the event possible!
