"I must learn that the purpose of my life belongs to God, not me. God is using me from His great personal perspective, and all He asks of me is that I trust Him. I should never say, “Lord, this causes me such heartache.” To talk that way makes me a stumbling block. When I stop telling God what I want, He can freely work His will in me without any hindrance."

Give thanks to the Father in everything. All this is according to His great plan, amen!

I am thankful for everything. That feeling of goodness or conscience is what I consider the Holy Spirit working in me. Those times when I depend on Him, when I feel humbled helping someone. These are the times I feel the work of the Holy Spirit. Moments like this that the Holy Spirit motivates you to be in commune with Him once again. Praise God!

Forgive me for I have long overdue QT. I am very happy to having spending time with Him again. This morning I was really happy to have talked to someone whom I haven't seen for a long time via fb chat. I was also very thankful to God that I found my glasses again after losing it for 2 weeks! Praise God! To have a talk with my sister regarding that "direction" in life. Happy too that I will be coming home soon too, but with a bittersweet feeling.

Asking for prayers for my health, it's my last week and I feel like getting sick but a little bit better now. For my consistency in my QT. For that "direction" in my life. For my brothers who, like me, the "walk" with You Father. My grandfather, who I pray that he "loosens" up a little.

All for the Glory of God, amen!

P.S. Thank You Father, amen!

I really like the message today of how we should surrender to God.

"If you received the witness of the Spirit before the reality and truth that comes from obedience, it would simply result in sentimental emotion. But when you act on the basis of redemption, and stop the disrespectfulness of debating with God, He immediately gives His witness. As soon as you abandon your own reasoning and arguing, God witnesses to what He has done, and you are amazed at your total disrespect in having kept Him waiting. If you are debating as to whether or not God can deliver from sin, then either let Him do it or tell Him that He cannot. Do not quote this or that person to Him. Simply obey Matthew 11:28 , “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden . . . .” Come, if you are weary, and ask, if you know you are evil (see Luke 11:9-13)."

Simply amazing. All for the Glory of God, amen!

I'm asking for prayers my brothers for my quiet time. I'm really having a hard time for the past few days and I have lost the consistency of my quiet time. I continue to seek my steadfast relationship with our Savior.

I would like to ask for forgiveness. Whenever I see my friends back home, I miss being with them. I have the sin of envy in my heart. I have it so much that I want to shun away from them and focus on my career when I get home so that I don't get to see them as much as I want. Even my friends who are together with in my walk.

It is good to be reminded of Christ's Kingdom who is in our midst. He is in our hearts, we just have to seek Him. I need You Father.

I would also like to pray for my friends who have asked for prayers.

All for the Glory of our Father, Jesus. Amen!

My dear brothers, I'm asking for prayers. I'm having a hard time with my quiet time. For what I understand with this verse as it is also explained, if we become complacent with our spiritual journey, we will be overcome by our sins.

I pray for one another that may we become more vigilant with each step we take towards our Father. I'm also praying, God willing, if I should try the life here or go back to the Philippines and help with the family business. I'm praying for my career, that in anyway I can, glorify God, or His will be done.

Philippines is great because all my friends are there. But because I'm here, I feel that I am left out. That slowly, I should slowly let go.

I really admire the people who are seldom present during gatherings, yet when they show up, they don't feel left out or anything.

I guess I'm just really homesick or I really miss my friends back home in the Philippines. I lift everything to You Father, amen.

Somehow, we are like Martha, eager to please the Lord in serving. But when we strive to other than what God wants us to do is wrong already. So let us be reminded to keep our hearts in check, amen.

A very timely passage for me. I praise God to have been able to join dgroup again after a few weeks of absences and such a blessing it is to share God's blessings through my brothers in Christ.

I praise God to have sent us 2 more friends that who seeks You Father. We we're given an assignment by our dgroup leader about showing our faith to someone without expecting in return. Praise God has lead me to this parable.

Jesus asked the lawyer who he thinks was the neighbor to the the man who fell to the robbers, the lawyer answered Jesus that it was the one who showed compassion.

Compassion is part of love. I claim that this parable will help with the assignment I have been given. I pray that we glorify You Father with the task at hand. We claim in faith that Your will be done Father. May we learn what You want us to learn Father, amen!

Praying for our dgroup leader Bryan, that may he continue to be humble and blessed salt and light to us. Father, continue to use him to do Your will. Praying for his success in his business Father, may he not be blinded by worldly desires and continue to worship and obey You. For our brother Byron, may you strengthen him more Father, grant him Your protection Father, protect him from anything that does not glorify You Father. Jason with his work, may he not forget You in a single moment of his life. May he be always be reminded of You. Guide him Father to You. Would also like to pray for Clifford, for whatever sins he has done to anyone and to those who have sinned against him in the past, present and future. Lord, we know You are molding us to Your will, let us embrace it Father and not deny You. For our brother AP as well, may he find "love" in You. May he find You in the one You have for him. Bless his relationship with You Father. To our new brothers Bryan and Collin. You have blessed us and them for having to worship together in Your name. We ask of You to be a testimony to each other, use us Father to fishers of men to seek You together and worship You and glorify You, amen!

Praise God I found it.

"All things which appear good and fulfilling will prove themselves empty unless they are built on the foundation which is Jesus Christ." What Edmund Chan said about being in communion with God, like Lois Lane, at first she was afraid, because it was her first time to fly with superman, but as the night progresses, she became more comfortable with it. At a time when superman and Lois Lane was joining hands, they were in "communion" with each other. She trusted superman.

I'm praying to have that kind of relationship with God. Trusting Him fully, "immediately" and "at once" following Him. I pray that in everything that I have, in everything that I do, in everything that I am, I will put Him at the center of my life. Little by little, with my brothers helping me, praying for me, and by His will, it will be done, amen!

I'd like to pray for my brother who is currently looking for a job, that he may find what Jesus wants him to find, the kind of work where Jesus has appointed it. For my best friend who is now patching things up with his family, who has forgiven each other with his wife and trying to forget the past mistakes they have done to each other. May they welcome Jesus fully in their lives one day.

For my brothers and I, may we grow more and more in faith with Jesus us our ultimate goal, to be more and more like Him. May Jesus guide each one of us where He wants us to go. May we become His "fishers of men" and let the world know of His grace and mercy to the people we love, amen!

I was struck with this line while reading the chapter, "Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete." I felt that I still lack in faith, I haven't fully grasp His teachings, because if I have, I would be asking the Father in His name. Parang, feeling ko pag wala ng mintis ung faith mo, meron ka nung confidence na i-claim ung prayers or whatever You ask of Him.

From utmost.org, my reflection about John 6:66, reading the previous verse John 6:65 "Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known from the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him." Parang for me, dito pumapasok ung quote na "Jesus qualifies the called and not the other way around:" Tipong, in His perfect time, He knows us so well that He knows who believes in Him or not, ginagawaan niya ng paraan kung time mo na maniwala sa kanya.

Last night, my mom and I had a talk regarding the way she "takes care" of us. I'm not really sure if we both got to understand what each other was saying, but I'm lifting it all up to Him.

Just read Proverbs 13:4 "Lazy people want much but get little, but those who work hard will prosper." I have to honestly say, my spiritual journey is slow and weak, but I always pray that He disturb me and push me to be "radical." too bad I would miss the "trust" talk on MBS(Monday Bible Study) but I know that everything is all planned out by Him.

Reading this chapter, I ask myself, how much do I know Jesus? Yes, I do believe in Him, but how much? Because my faith was challenged when I read this chapter. Thomas, who was already His disciple, still asked Jesus to show Him the way. He was explaining to His disciples during this time about He is the way, the truth and the life. Thomas asked Jesus to show him the "way", when during all this time the 12 was with Him, some still didn't know. That's why  I ask myself, I do believe Jesus is my Lord and Savior, but how much? Jesus explained to Thomas Jesus that by knowing Him, obeying His command that we get to "see the way." But it was also a blessing in disguise when I got to read Luke 7 : 1 - 10 it was about the centurion, how he humbled himself and how Jesus was so proud of Him because of his faith. The centurion didn't know Jesus, but his faith was favored by Jesus.

I remember telling this to my dgroup friends about how "radical" I wanted to be, but my friend told me to take it easy, little by little, because if these small ARK's(Acts of Random Kindness) we can't even do, what more the g stuff?

Also, reading from utmost.org, "Temptation is not something we can escape; in fact, it is essential to the well-rounded life of a person. Beware of thinking that you are tempted as no one else–what you go through is the common inheritance of the human race, not something that no one has ever before endured. God does not save us from temptations–He sustains us in the midst of them (see Hebrews 2:18 and Hebrews 4:15-16)." It's just a blessing knowing that God allows these temptations for us to make our relationship with Him stronger. He lets us know that we NEED Him NOT TO sin...

How the Lord knows us. He knows that, like Peter, we want to follow where our Father goes, we want to be more and more like Him. But because He knows Peter, He told him that he will deny Him 3 times before the rooster crows. This one struck me the most, because I feel that I'm like Peter now, who says that he loves Jesus very much(no doubt) but to how far? Peter's faith was tested. Yet, our Father knows that Peter loves Him and still blesses him with what he needs in becoming a fisher of all men.

I have been missing on my quiet time with the Father with all this excitement going to Canada. Before this week started, I prayed that I do all the things that I have planned before leaving and that I may find and glorify His name. I almost get to finish the things I was supposed to do, but did I glorify Him? There was instances when I failed Him, there were more than 3 times...

The Unbelief of The Jews

It just hit me why John was suggested to be read when reading His word. It was for us to "believe" in Him. He would always perform miracles. During this time, people were divided, those who believed in Him, and those who doubt Him.

Jesus kept doing these miracles for people. To help them, but for some, like the pharisees, He never gives up on them. He would always find ways to "teach" them, to open their hearts.

Galing talaga ni God, in His perfect time talaga. It was when my friend Byron mentioned to our dgroup leader that he wanted us to pray for Him because like me, was feeling that Jesus wasn't talking to us. I also remember our dgroup leader Bryan, that sometimes, when you don't feel His presence, you've sinned and should ask for forgiveness.

I am praying for our new friend Clifford, that Jesus bless our hearts and worship and glorify God together. Use us Lord for Thy will, use us Father to do Thy will.

Praying for AP, may You take away his suffering Lord, heal Him, it is only You who can. For Jason, we thank You for blessing him with an opportunity to do what he loves. For Byron, that may You forgive for whatever sin, may You speak to him Father, forgive us for whatever sins we have committed and for what sins we are about to do. To Alek, for his safety, where ever he may be Father, protect us Father. To Ken, that may he find You again Lord and seek You, guide him Father to You. And our dgroup leader Bryan, Father may You protect him, may he seek You more and continue to use him Father, AMEN!

All for the Glory of God, amen!

Spiritual Blindess

I pray that I could be like the blind man whom God healed. He was asked by Jesus if he knew who the Son of Man was, and the man with much hunger in Jesus, to the one who healed him replied: "Tell me so that I may believe in Him."

I pray to be like the man who is healed of his "disability" and come to know Jesus, the one who have healed me, amen!

Proverbs 6 1 - 19
Warnings Against Folly

The verse is about being lazy, not just literally but in seeking God, in obeying Him. Before I opened it to Proverbs, I was praying for my career, at first, it was actually Proverbs 8 : 29, but I didn't understood it, so I flip it to the start of the chapter, I accidentally turned 2 pages before that and have read Proverbs 6. This one struck me.

He really does know me, because I myself feel lazy to engage our customers, I would always find ways to avoid confronting them. I would always ask my uncle for the majority of the bike parts our customers would ask me. I'm too excited to leave the country.

I have been praying for Him to disturb me. I attended a prayer meeting last night and was amazed by the statement the speaker said, "trivia lang, alam niyo ba, the phrase "do not be afraid" is mentioned in the bible 365 times?" Each day, knowing God, I am putting that phrase into heart. With His grace and mercy, I am putting it to heart.

All for the Glory of God, amen!

The Children of Abraham

"The truth shall set you free" was one of the lines that struck me with the verse, and "“Very truly I tell you, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35 Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36 So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed..." somewhat in line with utmost.org, about Jesus's overflowing blessing. After my retreat, a friend of mine told me before being baptized in water, he told me that I am free of satan and my sins, that from then on, I have accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, thus, we are protected by Him and will avoid sinning again.

All for the Glory of God, amen!

Father God, I'd like to pray for my bestfriend, whose health is again deteriorating. Lord You're the mighty healer, only You can take away our sufferings. Our business, that little by little, that we may walk the right path, that someday soon, we would not be afraid of our country's BIR because we have nothing to hide anymore, because "the truth will set us free." To my brother's who request for Your guidance, that we may continue to strengthen our faith in You. Please continue to disturb us Lord, take us away from our comfort zone, and Thy will be done. Amen!

Jesus Call His First Disciples

I was really touched when "Simon Peter fell at the knees of Jesus saying, "Leave me, Lord. I am a sinful man."" But Jesus gave them affirmation NOT to be afraid of Him, and that from then on, they were going to be fishers of men. As I have read some of the verse's reflection, this story had a few meaningful reflections to it. One was when Jesus got in the boat with His disciples, it was overwhelming for the disciples, if Jesus got into the boat with me, I will be blessed as well. I think that the boat represented life, He is now with me in my life. And now, with His blessing and grace, I would be able to have bountiful, blessed journey ahead of me. I pray that He would disturb me more, so that my faith would be tested and choose Him more, depend on Him more and more with each trial He gives me.

All for the Glory of God, amen!

Luke 4: 38 - 39
Jesus Heals Many

The booklet I was reading explained this verse to me that we should share God blessing to other people. Simon's mother-in-law, who was instantly healed by Jesus, did not rest after she was being healed but quickly got up and shared Jesus blessings to her neighbors who were sick. She tried to bring people to Jesus. Also, Luke 4 : 18 I feel that, is trying to tell me that, I have been renewed with the holy spirit, and I should be sharing His blessings to those who are poor in spirit and are captives of evil. Ang hirap lang sobra kasi ngayon pa lang, sa work, "under pressure" na nararamdaman ko...but I am blessed kasi, I feel that God is "disturbing" me, is trying to get me out of my comfort zone...

As I continue on my reading on the book John, chapter 7 and some of the previous chapters, I have read that, is trying to tell me, not to glorify myself, but Him. Do these things for no one but for Him alone.

I've been reading the book of John lately, and so far(John 6), there are previous verses that really gave me an impact. To summarize the chapters I have read, it was Jesus journey and performing miracles, and as I was reading, I felt, irritated by the people whom Jesus saves, or performs His miracles to. The people of Jerusalem wouldn't believe Him, would always find ways to persecute Him. I felt really irritated and sad at the same time...He even asked His 12 if they too wanted to leave Him John 6 67 - 69. But I was really amazed at what Simon and Peter replied: “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

I'm really blessed to have recently attended a retreat. I was renewed. Praise God.

My quiet time, aside from reading the book John, I came across 1 Corinthians 2:10-16, at first I was really confused by it, but the booklet I was reading thank God had a short explanation on the daily readings. I finally understood what the verse meant. Let us be spiritual men, and not normal men, amen.

All for the Glory of God!

To My Only Next & My Only Last

A man they say, is as good as his word. This, I promise you. I will NEVER leave you. I've seen so much heartbreaks in my life. From my parents, to my 2 bestfriends. Who came a time where every night they would call up and cry over the phone. How ruthless someone could be. Yes, even I. I have been asking God for forgiveness ever since.

SimpLe Lang Naman

Simple lang naman ang gusto ko,
pero komplikado.

Alam mo na ba yun?
Baka alam mo na.

Pakiramdam ko,
eto rin hiling mo.

Ikaw pa!
Kahit sino,
Lahat gusto ito!

Tama ba ako?
OO, gusto mo rin to.

Huwag mo na lokohin sarili mo,
huwag na natin lokohin sarili natin.

Ano ito?
Pag-ibig.

Simple lang db?
Ang mahalin ka pabalik ng mahal mo.

Fragile Human Beings

Recently, I went out with my "liberated" college friends. Whom have conviction over their claims in the world. They mentioned to me that like men, women are also capable of "breaking" hearts and much worse than men sometimes. We are all JUST human beings. Whose minds are still yet to be opened to all the wickedness in the world.

Also recently, there has been a brawl between 2 famous TV personalities. One, who was tired from her trip, and was really frustrated with the flight company because of "incompetent" service, was really challenged to keep her poise. I would imagine, anyone in her situation would do the same. BUT, that doesn't give her the right to "belittle" such a person. The journalist, on the other hand, was concerned of how the woman was being treated. An impulse as well to save such a person. BUT the right to take a photo for whatever purpose is also wrong. To have just kindly ask "what's happening here" would have gone a more peaceful way.

If it was me, I honestly don't know what I could have done. To be the defending husband of the woman being taken the "photo" to come to her aid, or be the "audience" who would like to make a difference, or show the world what a certain kind of people treats another person.BUT definitely not resort to fist fight, because I am not fighter, I myself, I would admit honestly, am afraid of a fist fight. But impulse, as a human being might say otherwise.

I am so glad that I am struggling to keep myself humble with the grace of the Lord, our God.

How would you know if he/she likes you?

I can't believe I'm asking this..but I am. How would you know

The Dilemma:
So, it all started when I was all new in my previous work, the year was 2010. I had an office mate who got along quite well together. She found out that I was Chinese and wanted to introduce me to her female Chinese friend as well. My friend/office mate only got to the point of using my cellphone to text her, she replied though, but that was it. I didn't get to reply because I wasn't really fond of the idea how my friend tried to introduce us. Nevertheless, nothing happened after that.

Fast forward  to 2012, a lot of things have happened since then. I just broke up with my less than a year relationship,  and it's been almost a year now that we broke up, and have just been rejected by someone I was courting. SG on the other hand also just came from an "MU" relationship. I'm not entirely sure if the timing was perfect. I also resigned from my work with just less than a year there.

I got a text from my friend/ex-office mate asking me where I was, and that she was with SG, and they were somewhere near where I go home to. Even though I was not in the area, I replied to my friend that I was going. When I got there, I didn't know that SG was STILL with her MU relationship...my friend introduced me to her friends: "Juan(not my real name), meet my "friends," friends, meet Juan" very general right? Anyway, we met them outside of Angelo King and going back to the party, I was pretty sure it was a bit PDA for both SG and the guy...or, my friend told me that I was Chinese and felt threatened when I was introduced to her friends.

I was so sure, the guy couldn't get enough of SG, because he didn't leave her side. As the night progressed, my friend already wanted to go home, since I didn't know anybody at the party, I offered her a ride home as she lives nearby and I wanted to ask her about SG. This was also the first time I saw SG in personal.

Turns out, SG didn't want the relationship to progress anymore. She wanted it to stop because she was Chinese and the guy was Filipino, and thought that the relationship wasn't going to be smooth sailing anymore. The guy was also leaving the country for work. SG was only afraid of how to tell the guy.

Eventually, SG told him. I wasn't really sure if he took it quite well. Anyway, me and my friend who's friends with SG kept in touch and there was a few times when SG kept on asking my friend to text me and invite me on their gimicks together, just the 3 of us. Unfortunately, my friend was sometimes too lazy to text me. There was also a time, my friend mentioned that she asked her about me, kinda asked for an indirect background check on me as my friend would put it. I was always looking forward for that invite from my friend, I was sometimes even the one one who keeps asking her if she and SG was going to meet up during the weekends.

Alas! The day finally came where our friend invited us to Tagaytay! I was so psyched. On the day itself, my friend surprised me that 2  more of her friends wanted to come with us. I was so psyched that I didn't really care who else was going as long as I get to be with SG. Turns out, I'm glad her 2 friends came and made the trip more fun for all of us! :)

Since it was the first time we met, my friend had to seat at the passenger side, and SG had to sit at the back with her friends. As the trip progresses, her friends was trying to tease her about me. And she really wanted to get out of the car because she had no allies. She was quite embarrassed and I wasn't sure if her face went red or not because it was already dark. It was like that most of the trip.

At the end of the trip, my friend told me that her friends likes me for SG. But we all know, it all comes down to SG. During the trip back home, I kept on thinking how to get her phone number, until she got down of the car, I failed to get her number. When I got home, or already the next day, I added her in FB. She approved my request within the day, and I tried messaging her. She replied about 1 week later, while I was watching tv and left the computer on, the chat window popped out and saw her name. It was a short conversation, and I tried my best to ask for her number though FB, thankfully she gave her number.

I texted her a few days after, and it was about how SM Baguio tried to cut trees down to pave the way for their mall. It was the only thing I could think of, so that I could text her because she was working as a designer for SM as well. Turns out, she was weird-ed out about it according to my friend.

After a few weeks, the second time I get to be with her was when my friend from Singapore came back to the Philippines. Fortunately, dinner was going to be at MOA, I was glad that we were going to have it there so that I could invite her for dinner and meet my friends as well. At first, I really thought that there was only going to be a few of us, but as the night progressed, my friends kept on reminding that there was quite a few of who didn't know that there was going to be near so the crowd grew quite a lot. I was worried that if she knew how many people was going, she'd back out. I tried answering her and her friends question about how many people was going. She almost didn't went through because our friend got lazy and almost didn't want to push through.

When they finally came, they kept on teasing me that they thought there was only going to be one person who came from Singapore. I just let them feel comfortable as much as I could. After dinner, we transferred to a more drinking ambiance. We had quite a few drinks, with my friends, and on our way home, both she and our common friend really enjoyed the night. I was thankful that my friends made her feel welcome.

We're already texting by now, for some people, some indicators of interests are the following:
1. How fast she replies. Most importantly, she replies to your texts.
2. If she asks you questions and her replies have have smiley faces on it.

These are the most basic indicators. But of course, not all women are the same. And these indicators should not be based through texts alone.

The 3rd time we went out was again with her friends. We went to Sonia's Garden of Tagaytay. I wanted to fetch her, so..I tried insisting that I fetch her since I already know her place and wasn't 100% sure that I didn't exactly how to get to the meeting place, at least when I fetch her, I wouldn't be alone getting lost. This time too, her friends kinda forced her to sit in front with me. Most of the trip, her friends was still teasing her/us. The trip was great, as I get to know her more.

The 4th time we get to be together was just this week. She hasn't watched The Avengers movie, I already did, but I told her I haven't watched it as well. The original plan was supposed to invite her friends along. I was glad to hear that they already watched it, so this was going to be our first chance together alone. As usual, she didn't want me to fetch her and wanted just to meet where we're going to watch instead, I refused and made an excuse again for me to fetch her :)

The day was going ok, until I notice that she regularly crosses her hands. If I didn't know better, But I've researched that when one arm is crossed, and the other one not, that she's just shy...

Taken from:
http://felixker.com/love-relationship/how-to-tell-if-a-girl-is-not-interested-in-you/

Watch her body language. You can gather a lot about a girl by her body language and there are a lot of signs that will tell you she's interested. For example, if a girl has her torso towards you in an open manner this means she is confident talking with you. If she has a 'closed' body position (ie. legs crossed, arms in front of torso) she may be shy or nervous to talk to you. Watch for subtle signs in the girls face, if her eyes are dilating then she may really like you. If her lip quivers slightly when you look at her you can almost be sure she likes you.

Both her arms were crossed, so..what now? After we bought the tickets, we were kinda hungry and had merienda at Mann Hann. It was quite..interesting because she found out about this place from her friend who courted her before, I was a little bit skeptical and jokingly said: " dapat pala hindi tayo dito" and just laughed it off, she thought it bothered me being there together. We had a very interesting conversation as she was open to me about her past.

After having dinner, we walked around Vira Mall and went to one of my interest, going to a toy store. It was a good thing she was willing to go inside Toy Kingdom with me. I asked her what her hobbies or interest are, and she told me that she had a thing for fabric/color swatches collecting from different suppliers.

As our movie sched draws near, I invited her to timezone to have some fun, we raced a few rounds, and played air hockey, I tried to let her win but to no avail, I was just happy that she was there with me :)

We finally went inside the movie house, as we were watching the movie, I was really happy that she side comments during the movie and asks me some questions if there was something she doesn't understand.

The movie ended and I asked her if she was hungry or if she wanted to grab a snack before going home, she said she was still full but asked me afterwards if I was hungry, I said just a little bit, but tolerable, and wanted to bring her to a hole-in-the-wall restaurant near by instead. When we got there, sadly it was already closed and proceeded in going home.

I would always get down from the car when she gets down from the car, but alas she said: "huwag ka na bumaba...grabe sobrang bait mo na.." so I stopped there, and didn't get down, but eversince, I have been opening the door for her.

The 5th time we met was just yesterday, I wanted to bike alone because something was bothering me and just want to let it out. So I biked around MOA. I know she was working near by and texted her if we could meet up and grab a couple of snack before she goes home.

I got down from my bike and and we walked together going to KFC for dinner, She had 1 pc. original chicken and rice and side dish of mac salad. I on the other hand just had garden salad. She was a bit embarrassed I think, and me, when we saw each other what we were going to eat. I defended myself what's the use of biking if I'm not dieting, and finally got over it. We talked and I notice since the movie as well, that, she has a hard time looking straight at me, whenever I would always try my best to stare her in the eyes when I listen/talk to her, even when I'm driving! Whenever I bring her home inside the car, she wouldn't look at me, even if my eyes are on the road.

Although, when I bring her home everytime after 12, the guard would open the gates for her, and she would always look back and wave goodbye before going up. But on the 4th day we were together, we got home a little before 12 and the gate was still open and she just went straight through.

Anyway, that's about it...I know it's too early to tell, maybe like everyone else, who wouldn't want anyone for their feeling to be reciprocated right? I'm just happy. :)

Commitment

I keep wondering why people fall out of love...don't they know? Even before you go into a relationship, there is commitment. The moment your sure/said yes to that opposite sex, you give your word...to love her forever...so you mean to say, gf/bf is "testing the waters"? fuck....there goes reality.

To be continued...

The Back Up Plan

@tony - does this sound familiar?

"Pierre Armand Garcia Yiu fam business nga kaya nga mahirap magleave e. uhm postpone nalang kaya natin? hahahaha June? pls pls pls"

hahaha damn, i almost replied to him: "HAHAHAHAH akala mo ah...."hina mo" pala men eh! ngayon alam mo na?! HAHAHAH"

@tony - i don't have anything against you telling armand WHATEVER because his your bestfriend, but dude, i ALREADY KNOW WHAT he is going to say, so please, DON"T bother telling him this shit na, kasi pare, lahat ng mga nakakarating sa kanya, panget labas eh, OO, totoo, sabihin na natin panget talaga, OO sabihin na natin: "sorry vil, pero kahit ako naiinis na" taena, ano sa tingin niyo, madali? nakita mo ako nageexcuse? hindi naman diba?

actually may pLano na ako on how to go about this all the shit that's going on, for what it's worth, THANK YOU. seriously, i APPRECIATE whatever you guys are doing to help me, it's just TOO MUCH information for me to handle in one sitting, i WOULD ALWAYS FEEL like shit whenever the topic is about be sucking at whatever shit i suck in, I GET THE PICTURE! and ALWAYS REMINDING me SUCKS big time dudes..REALLY...

the only person who made sense last night you know who? GUILSON, he was the only one sensible enough to tell me what i needed to hear..although medyo bitin for me, but it was what i really needed at that moment, you know what he said after all you guys told me "WHAT I NEEDED TO DO?"

"ikaw orville bahala, buhay mo yan..." sana dinagdagan lang niya ng: "eto sinasabi lang namin kasi eto nakikita namin na kailangan mo baguhin sayo.."

for what it's worth, i can not thank you enough, for what you guys are trying to do..i realized something just this morning while i was in the shower..i think or last night while i was going home..

i remember chucky telling this one: "GET OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE" and you know what..i think i'll do just that until i'm ready to go back...

what i'm about to tell you ladies and gents...PLEASE, DON'T EVER TAKE THIS THE WRONG WAY...but this is actually a compliment, [McD] IS MY COMFORT ZONE..it's true, i figured, the reason why you guys always say na, lalo na si armand: "orville hindi namin nakikita sayo ung orville na nakiktia namin nung nililigawan mo si nicky" show them WHO you are, what we're seeing NOW" diba? oo nga naman men, kaya ganon ako, kasi comfortable ako sa inyo...so..i'm getting in and out of my comfort zone...i'll try NOT to be present most of the time, except for EBM, QBT is still debatable, BS will SURELY be present, because it's the spirtial aspect i'm looking forward for...

i guess, in the end, i told you my "plan..." i just need a break from all this shit going through with my friends...don't take any offense in what i just said..

last night, i just really felt, you guys were doing more harm than good...and i also remember armand telling me:"dapat ikaw nga nagbibigay ng advise sa akn kasi ikaw mas matanda.." it's not that, but i really think differently now than i was before..i choose to keep silent because i'm processing what you guys were trying to tell me last night..but barraging me with ALL THOSE CONTRADICTING opinions was jsut too much for me..i have to figure this out on my own...

thanks guys..thanks for the memories...i'll be back.. ;)

P.S. tony, HUWAG mo na kwento kay armand, andyan naman si chucky...pagnagtanong na lang..

Unofficially Yours

Unofficially Yours, stylized as ÜnOfficially Yours is a 2012 Filipino romantic comedy film directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and starring John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin. It is produced and released by Star Cinema.[1][2][3] The film premiere released domestically on February 15, 2012.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C3%9CnOfficially_Yours

Watched this last night with my best friend. She was the one who could relate more to this movie than me. Anyway, there was really a lot of stuff going on with this movie.

1. Lovely on screen acting by Mr. John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin, they really played the part well, bagay sa kanila mga roles.

2. Mr. John Lloyd Cruz is the "epitome" of a guy who can make your laugh, which is a plus for women, without forcing it, it comes naturally for him.

3. Ms. Angel Locsin, who played the part very well. She played this "snabera" career-oriented woman in the film.

4. You could really learn a lot from this film, one of my favorite lines:

Ces: Hindi ka ba nagsasawang masaktan? Ces’ mother: Nagsasawa naman pero ‘di lang ako napapagod magmahal.
(Aren't you getting used to getting hurt? Sure I am, but I'm not getting tired of loving)

“Paano ko makikilala yung taong para sa’kin kung sa bawat sakit na mararamdaman ko ay susuko agad ako.”
(How would you find the right person for me, if I would give up easily on every hurt that I have come across?)
“Hindi naman talaga tayo napapagod masaktan e, dahil sa totoo lang, hindi rin naman tayo napapagod na magmahal.”
(We really don't get tired of being hurt, because to be honest, we don't get tired from loving.)

– Cess Bricenio

These quotes will be the reason for my blog.

Recently, I'm courting someone. She's being safe. Lately, I couldn't tell what she really feels. If she's leading me on or not. I know, that, unless she doesn't tell me to stop courting her, I shouldn't give up..but to TBH(To be Honest), she's not giving me enough reason to like her more too..what I noticed, is that, we're not that "click" when we're together..I'm not sure if it's only because there is the "ilang effect" or not, but nonetheless, I find it always hard to converse with her..kung baga, parang walang laman mga usap namin...=/

All I can say is, I'm really at a lost here..I don't know how much I can hold on..when I know someone out there would appriciate me more...

FYI, when my best friend went out with us, even for a little while, said she didn't feel that the one I'm dating wasn't that into me..but she mentioned a disclaimer not to take her word for it...is it a girl thing? That would feel such a thing?

Anyway, if you've been following my post, she Ms. N.

I guess that's about it...

P.S.
Do You Believe In Life After Love - Cher

What am I supposed to do
Sit around and wait for you
Well I can't do that
And there's no turning back
I need time to move on
I need a love to feel strong
'Cause I've got time to think it through
And maybe I'm too good for you

Quoting another line from the movie Unofficially Yours and I will leave this for you all to ponder:
"....Pero ‘wag kang mag-alala, hindi kita pipilitin kasi naiintindihan kita.”
-Mackie Galvez (UNOFFICIALLY YOURS)"

Ang masasabi ko lang dito, hindi mo nga pipilitin..hanggang kelan ka naman magaantay?

Happy Valentine's Day! 2012

I'd like to share how my Valentine's Day 2012 went.

It all started last week when I fetched my friend N on a regular basis now every Thursday after work since she's always coding on that day, and since I'm always in that area once a week. Just as we were about to go home, I asked her if she had any plans "next week." She replied: "Sa?" "Nope, Tueday(Valentine's Day)" with a little grin on my face like I was expecting it was deliberate. She said: "ah..wala naman.." So I invited her if we can have dinner together. Unfortunately, she said: "Ha? huwag na noh..hindi na..." (but not in a angry or frustrated voice but in a blushing way? I couldn't really call how she said it, but I'm sure it wasn't a totally "rejecting" answer). "Bahay lang ako..bahay...yeah.." I smiled and said a simple ok letting her know I understood what she meant. BUT, at the back of my mind, "perfect!"

My plan went something like this:

Feb. 13, Monday, I tried going to her house in Manila to ask permission from her dad..but as soon as I got near her house, I saw her car, eep! She didn't go to work? What if I rang the doorbell and she answered?! A lot was running through my mind at that moment, I just had to ask either of her parents..I could only think of one other solution. Calling her dad, I got her dad's number through her sister, when I visited her home then and her sister was the only who was around aside from her grandparents. I asked for their father's number so that in case I needed to fetch N, I'd let him know so he won't have to fetch N.

I got to talk to her dad and asked him for his permission. I even texted him just to be sure, funny how I told him when I called him in Chinese, and texted him in English. He replied with an OK, viola!

I deliberately just bought 2 flowers to get out of those cliche that flowers come in threes (I Love You). I actually have thought a lot of things to say to defend myself in case I'm asked by whoever. I could say, "it means, love you.." or "I is not important, what's important is Love, and You.." etc.

I got my flowers that I bought from my friend that's quite affordable, not really too grand and doesn't look really cheap(like some that comes from Dang-Wa that is priced the same). I was actually happy when I got it, well, my friend would also try her best for this set of flowers to look really good before it got to me. My friend though made me a little worried that I might not make it in time because I still had to buy dinner in Little Tokyo, Makati and both were actually heavy traffic areas of Makati. Thank God I made it to both with a lot of time to spare. I got to my friends house 6pm and got the very beautiful arranged flowers, thank you, you know who you are just in case ;) And quickly went back to my car because the attendant at the parking, when I asked her nicely that I was just going to pick up something, she let me go without paying any parking fee, again, thank you po..!

Traffic was really bad at this point because office hours was over. It was a good thing I allotted an hour to an hour and a half of each travel time. From house to flowers, from flowers to ordering food, from food to N's house. I got to her house with more than 30min. to spare..praise God!

N's mom gave me regular coke to drink while waiting for N and asked me if I could understand mandarin because we were watching a tv series on television. I honestly said I was really rusty and could only understand a few words.

A few moments later N arrived. I couldn't really distinguish if she was surprised  not happy see me because of work, I really don't know, but she thankfully, she finally arrived.

2 people actually gave me quite the scare, first was my own bestfriend when she told me that "bahay nga lang ba talaga? baka mamaya sinasabi lang niya un.." I forgot about it after a few days and the second one was N's mother. When I got to their house, as I was trying to get the food out of the plastic, her mom mentioned that she's going to call N where she is already, I tried to tell her that it was ok, and that I'd just patiently wait for her. But she insisted because she might "excape" (in Chinese). I just smiled at her but got a little scared..because I remember what my friend told me...but, I tried to have Faith..that she was coming and we were going to have dinner together.

She finally came. At first, it was a little awkward, she kept on insisting me that I go ahead and eat first, later I found out that she had heavy merienda of Spaghetti so that's why she kept on inisting I go ahead first, but I insisted back that I wanted to have dinner together. Finally, we had dinner together, she got the small plates, and I tried to tell her to invite her parents or siblings to have dinner with us. Her parents didn't get to join us but her siblings did.

First to arrive was her sister who came after her. At first she was hesitant and said she was on a "diet." But eventually gave in. She asked her sister if their youngest brother was home, he was and N invited him to have dinner with us as well. It was really nice to have dinner together with N and her siblings. Her brother was a little quiet rather than her sister whom I find more socializing than his brother. I remember how I am sometimes when I see his brother, I would always offer him one of the food on the table.

We had our dinner, as we were trying to clean up, N would insist I leave my plate on the table, but I didn't and offered I get her plate instead. In the end, her brother got the plate from me and went to the kitchen. I got the styrofoam from the take out and followed them to the kitchen. Her mom let me sit in the couch while waiting for N. When N arrived, she and her siblings stayed awhile to play with the dogs. N showed my one of her pets could do a lot of good tricks.

I rested after eating about 30+min. and finally told her I should go. When I got to the car and got the flowers to give it to her, she simply said:"wow..." It won't be a valentine without the flowers I replied. I told her Happy Valentine's Day one last time and drove off.

That ladies and gentlemen was my Valentine's Day 2012, Happy hearts to you all..!

P.S. I still believe in TRUE LOVE.

Goodnight, good fight! :)

Marionette

Who is Ahcee Flores(don't be lazy, google her, she's famous!), if you are lazy, this is her, somewhat, http://ph.news.yahoo.com/-ahcee-flores--is-newest-target-of-net-attacks.html. Anyway, this blog is going to be WHAT I think of everything that's happening regarding what Ahcee Flores did, about SOCIAL CONSTRAINTS...and whatever I think I should talk about, this is my blog, this is what MY opinion, live with it.

What is Social Constraints(for me): this is the act of oneself being "constrained" with whatever outside force is keeping him/her from saying WHATEVER he/she wants to say, whatever we want to do, etc.(you get the picture?) from saying or doing for the SAKE of either "morality, religion, social norms," etc. Sikat ang "art" dito sa "social constraints" na to.

Ngayon, kung ako tatanungin mo, boto naman ako dito, bakit? Eto ang "batas" meaning, piki mo mga mata mo, imagine, sa mundong WALANG BATAS, anyone would get away with bullshit...walang morale, or standard kuno.

And sa akin lang, panindigan mo...ano man sabihin mo, ano man gawin mo, panindigan mo...if you ever choose to go outside of the social norms, believe in it, strive for it, fight for it. As simple as that. That's one way of being responsible...

Ahcee Flores, now an internet sensation after Mr. Christopher Lao(google him too), but Ahcee is more of the social responsibility example. What she did, I admire, but what she said, disgusts me so much that I'm cringing every time I'm reminded of it. What I meant with what she did, is how she just blurted out those words, I'm assuming she knows that EVERYONE will get to read it, how she just said those unimaginable words on a time like that where people were so afraid, panicking, hopeful, waiting for love ones to return call, etc. What she said was really...sad..that's what "social responsibility" is all about...

Although there are SOME cases wherein, people have the most.."honest" intentions, meaning, hindi nila sinasadya dahil hindi nila alam. Kung baga, someone among the group talking was asked what he thinks of let's say cancer, but he didn't know that someone from the group has cancer...so he/she freely tells the group what he thinks about cancer, without any social constraint, since they were in a private group. Now what he or she said could be good or bad.(good and bad i think is becoming more and more subjective, but that's on a different blog entry) So, what do you think should happen next? The one who speaked his/her mind shouldn't say sorry UNTIL it was layed out on the table that he/she has offended someone, BUT the offended SHOULD understand that he/she who just spoke his/her mind DIDN'T know...

I'm saying this because this just happened to me recently, I'm talking with my really close friends via email and one of my friend was going to organize a party with his younger sister, and this sister was 2nd to the youngest, and I know was still in college studying..so initially I thought and said that this party was going to be a "children's party" jokingly and told them that won't it be a little off...since we're going to party with you sister's friends? One was kind enough to correct me, but in not such a good way, and I totally forgot I'm a year older among my barkada could you blame me if i think that way? My invitation to the party got revoked, and I understand completely why my friend did that, I just want to say sorry to my friends whom I have offended, hopefully this blog gets to you and know where I'm coming from. I found out that their sister's age wasn't really that far apart, so I apologized and is waiting for their forgiveness...but if not, I did my part.

Anyway, lately, I have been so...careless that I don't think before I speak lately, but, it's just because I'm too comfortable being with friends that I just say whatever I want/think but don't get me wrong, I sincerely don't have any intentions of offending them, honest to goodness, I didn't know...I'm somewhat of a free spirited person, but growing from a traditional Chinese Family, sometimes I get carried away with so much social constraints...when I am with my friends, I care less of who people think I am, because I am myself when I'm with them...ang hindi ko lang magets minsan, kung yung isang tropa natin, naiitindihan mo na "ganon" siya, bakit ako, hindi niyo maintindihan na "eto ako"? Extremist, some of my friends would say..? Weird.

so...ano na?

BOOTCAMP!

Last weekend, me and my friends went on a camping trip in Anawangin Cove, Zambales to "get away from it all" trip. It was going to be the first time for us camping.  The trip was supposed to be a 2-3hrd drive from Manila(according to google map, 2hrs. 15+min I think from Eastwood to Pundaquit) but since we didn't know the place, we asked around and had a lot of stop overs along the way so it took us roughly 4 hrs. to get there from Mindanao Avenue in Q.C. to Pundaquit.

We arrived at Pundaquit around 4+ in the afternoon, we still had to take a boat ride to Anawangin Cove with less than 30min boat ride. We left our car at our tourguide Jay-Ar's home. It was a big parking space, and quite safe.

On our way to Anawangin Cove from Pundaquit. Seems only a few people were camping, BUT this is just the outside

inside the campsite, just a few feet from the shore

When we got to Anawangin Cove, we were surprised to see quite a few people along the shore...and when we entered the camp site, just a few feet from the shore, we were more surprised..according to my friend, "may community ba?" yes, it was kinda like a community of campers. How many you ask, imagine this, according to my friend, while reviewing the pictures she took with her camera, there wasn't one picture that didn't include either a person or a tent in the background while we were there...it was that many people camping.

We had a hard time making a bonfire, we were blessed to have someone with us who knew a few about camping. A bundle of firewood costs 150 there. There was only 2 sari-sari store competing against each other.

150 Pesos a bundle, good for 1hr. 30min -2hrs.

It was really great that we have a barkada who knows quite a few things about camping, he even bought some stuffs that we didn't know we had to bring..!

After dinner, we had a few drinks, we got drunk. Some rolled on the beach, some "walked on ember," some tried to climb trees, some rolled some paper, and some just enjoyed what we were doing and took pictures.

Some of the highlights:
- "1 am na nageenglish pa din?!"

- nadapa right in front of another camping group and just looked at the person who fell because they were just as surprised as the one who fell down

- "bakit hindi ako lumalapit kay sam?" turns out, he was too tired and drunk to walk and just rolled towards our friend but rolled the other way

- getting lost more than often from the comfort room back to our camp site and we just called the names of our friends who didn't go with us to the bathroom

- Walking on fire when we were drunk

- woke up around 430 in the morning because I think I heard someone doing "it" and so much more

It was a very..."memorable" trip for us, as this was the first time we went camping with my friends except for one.

The sunset was great too...! :)

*Photos were taken by my friends and not me

We spent roughly:
- 3, 100 for our tour guide + tip
- 1, 500 on gas
- 805 on toll(round trip)
- 1, 830 on food
- 450 extra

*everything divided by 5

Who Am I?

Yep, taken from the that song title by Casting Crowns "Who Am I." This isn't my first blog but would be my first post for my official "relaunched" blog entitled, "Juan dela Chua".

Juan dela Chua is a mix of the traditional Filipino "Juan dela Cruz" - Juan dela Cruz is the national personification used in the Philippines to represent the "Filipino". The name, Spanish for "John of the Cross", is roughly the equivalent of the American Uncle Sam and John Doe. - according to Wikipedia, and Chua coming from my surname, a Chinese derived surname.

I'm a Filipino - Chinese, that's what they call us here in the Philippines. Some other labels include, Chinoy, Fil-Chi, Chekwa/Chequa(I suggest NOT calling any of your Fil-Chi friends here in the Phil. this nickname when in public or when we don't even know each other! This is like calling a Filipino "Indio" or an African-American the N word) , Intsik, etc.

I am 25% Filipino and 75% Chinese(if we're doing technicalities, 25/75) by BLOOD, but traditionally, I'm pure Chinese. Let me explain how. My dad was adopted by a pure Chinese couple when he was still little, like probably toddler little. My mom said that my dad's real parents were half as well. My biological "angkong"(grandfather, fatherside) was Macau and my biological "ama"(grandmother, fatherside) was Filipina. My biological grandfather went back to Macau and had no idea what happened afterwards, this was all just a "theory" of my family tree on my fatherside.

Now my adopted grandfather adopted my dad because they were having a hard time conceiving a child of their own. My "aco" (my dad's only sister) was adopted by my grandfather as well, my dad and his sister are NOT blood related.(can you still catch up?) They're both orphaned but my aco/aunt was pure Chinese(she now found her family).

Traditionally 100% Chinese because, I practice almost EVERY Chinese tradition the stereotype Chinese family has to offer/practices. I.e., We go to temple for worship especially my parents, we wear red when there's a birthday celebration, we avoid wearing white or black because of superstitions. Our unlucky numbers are 4 and or 9, we are asked by our parents as well to marry a Chinese as well, when my parents are around, we speak quite fluent Fukien/Hokien among us siblings or my parents would get mad at us, we studied at a private Chinese school who thought us Mandarin, etc. These are just some of the few things I will be writing about in the following months ahead.

But don't be deceived by all of this, I'm actually NOT the stereotypical Fil-Chi you would encounter everyday. I have a Filipino friend who actually said that I'm one of the few Fil-Chi who isn't Fil-Chi at all, and he only knows two Fil-Chi who aren't your stereotype Fil-Chi.

Anyway, in the following months I will write more about myself, the Chinese community, whatever just for my pleasure and not for yours ;)

Funny how this blog turns out to be in English. LOL.

Anyway, hanggang dito na lang muna, paalam!
